Put me in Charge!

2015 has been a horrible year. In this blog post I will propose some solutions to the two of the issues that have been most discussed this year?

1.       Global Warming
The biggest problem with global warming is that not everybody thinks it’s real. This is the first major obstacle in solving this.  The second problem is the lack of unity when it comes to dealing with it, despite it impacted everybody.
I propose these actions to help with climate change:

  1. Make a Strong and independent organisation who can deal with everything associated with climate change.
  2. Ensure that all countries are treated equally.
  3. Take legal action against all people who damage our environment.
  4. We should all unite to solve this issue, regardless of location in this world.

2.        Refugee Crisis
This year has seen a lot of people fleeing war from all corners of the world. Wherever you look now there seems to a war going on or people being forced out of their home.  With up to 1 million people estimated to be in Germany. These are the actions I propose to fix this.
1.       Offer bodies like to UNHCR more financial support. If the most developed countries gave 0.001% of their GDP, it would help the problems considerably. This is up to us to ensure our governments do this.

2.       All developed countries should take in more people fleeing war. Instead of allowing media to create a soap opera of these people.
3.       We should ensure that our governments don’t play politics with people.  Whether you right- wing or left- wing.  All decent people should do more.
4.       Distinguish between economic ‘migrants’ and refugees.
Remember the way a country treats refugees are a reflection of its people.

3.       ‘Islamic’ terrorism
I would like to start with the definition of terrorism. According to the well-known search engine called Google. The definition is ‘the unofficial or unauthorized use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims’ this isn’t bearded fella with a bomb. This can range from a wide range of issues like abortion to religious based attacks on civilians.
First thing I’d like to say when tackling terrorism is that you cannot beat it or destroy it.  History suggests that extremist groups will always gain traction in certain environments.. What we need to do is look at the environment and circumstances that they gain traction in.  You can’t heal a wound until you stop the bleeding.

I propose these 6 actions to reduce and prevent terrorism:
1.        Get rid of the excessive coverage of these groups and don’t show their propaganda on News.  Let’s not make these groups look cool.
2.       Solve the socio- economic factors that contribute to these groups rise.
3.        Treat all people with dignity and honor, not just people who can benefit us.
4.       Don’t Jail the people who want to leave these groups. Instead allow them to have support.
5.       Don’t let a paranoia and fear dictate a county.
6.       Don’t kill Civilians at all. The more blood spilled in a war, the less likely peace is.
